Stormwater Drains Caves Beach
Stormwater drains in Caves Beach carry roof and yard water down the slope to the street, and they block when sand, leaf litter or roots stop the flow. We film the pipe, clear it, film it again and quote any repair before it starts. Call (02) 4063 3469 or send the form.

Why Does a Stormwater Line Stop Carrying?
Three causes, three fixes:
Sand
Roots
Overload
A pit that only overflows in the heaviest rain may simply be overloaded. One that holds water on a dry day has something in the pipe or a dip in it, and the camera shows which.

How Do We Clear a Stormwater Run?
- 1
Check the surface first
Pits, grates and downpipe connections are opened and cleaned, since a choked grate can be the whole problem.
- 2
Film the line
A CCTV drain inspection finds where the water stops and why.
- 3
Clear it
Drain jetting flushes sand and grit, and roots are cut out with the eel, with tree root removal covering a heavy root problem.
- 4
Film it again
The second pass shows water moving through the whole run.
A cracked or sagging length found on the footage may suit pipe relining, which fixes it without digging up the yard.
What Decides the Price of a Stormwater Job?
Stormwater work is priced first on distance: a blockage one metre from the pit is a quick clear, while one halfway to the kerb takes longer to reach.
- What is blocking it Loose sand flushes quickly; roots need cutting first.
- The pipe's condition A sound pipe ends with the clear, and a broken one needs its own repair quote.
- Access A run under a deck, paving or a raised floor takes more set-up than one along an open side path.
We provide up-front, honest quotes that will always match the final price, should you decide to go ahead. No figure is given until the camera has shown what the job is.

When We're Not the Right Call
A pipe on your land, from the downpipes to the kerb outlet, is our job. When the fault lies in the street system past your boundary, that pipe is public infrastructure rather than yours, so the footage goes to its owner. A retaining wall pushed over by wet ground is a job for a builder.
What Customers Say
[The team] have done an outstanding job at my mother's rental property. The area they worked on was particularly challenging, as it retained water and had become extremely muddy and boggy… The transformation has been remarkable.
Stormwater Questions From Caves Beach
Can a blocked stormwater drain flood the house?
It can. Roof water that cannot get away backs up the downpipes and spills at the lowest point, which on a sloping block can be a garage or back door. Clearing the pipe fixes a blockage; a pipe laid too flat needs its grade corrected as well.
Do you clear stormwater drains in Swansea and Pinny Beach as well?
Yes. Swansea, Swansea Heads and Pinny Beach are all covered. Pinny Beach has newer estate drainage that sheds rain quickly off fresh earthworks, while older Swansea runs can hold sand, and each is filmed and priced before clearing.
How is a stormwater drain different from the sewer line?
Stormwater pipes take rain from the roof, paving and yard pits out to the kerb or street system. The sewer is a separate pipe carrying toilet, bathroom and kitchen waste. On this coast the stormwater side collects sand and leaf grit; the sewer has its own page.
Will my stormwater line need jetting or just an eel?
That comes down to the footage. Sand and leaf grit wash out with the jetter, a knot of roots needs the eel's cutter, and a sagging section has to be regraded or replaced or it will fill again. The quote follows what the camera shows.
