Blocked Drains Caves Beach
Caves Beach Plumbing Co clears blocked drains in Caves Beach and across the Swansea peninsula, from a slow shower waste to a sewer overflowing in the yard. The line is filmed first, cleared with the jetter or eel, then filmed again. You approve a fixed figure before the clearing starts.

Why Do Drains Block on the Slopes Here?
Two kinds of ground. Lower blocks sit on dune sand, and higher blocks climb onto sandstone and shale toward the headland. A pipe that crosses that change of level can end up with a flat or back-falling stretch.
- Fine sand washed in by storm water
- Storm runoff from an east-coast low overloading the low end of a run
- Roots from big gardens on the 1960s to 1980s blocks finding cracked joints
- Silt dropping out wherever a section lies too flat
Each one takes a different fix, so the camera goes in before any gear does. The wider trade, hot water and gas included, is on the Caves Beach Plumbing Co home page.
Caves Beach Drain Services
Six drain jobs, each with a page of its own:
CCTV Drain Inspection
A camera filmed along the pipe shows what is blocking it, how far in, and whether the pipe itself is cracked:
Drain Jetting
Water at high pressure scours sand, grease and silt off the pipe wall and carries it out, with no chemicals:
Blocked Sewer
When toilets gurgle and waste rises in the shower, the sewer line needs clearing and the house needs protecting:
Stormwater Drains
Overflowing pits, a boggy yard and downpipes spilling in a storm, traced from the roof to the street:
Pipe Relining
A resin liner cured inside a cracked pipe, so the garden, deck or driveway stays where it is:
Tree Root Removal
Roots cut out with the eel and jetter, then the joint they came through assessed on camera:

Ring or send the form
Call (02) 4063 3469 or use the form to explain the fault. We ask enough to bring the right equipment the first time.

A fixed price first
A plumber inspects the job and names a fixed figure up front. Nothing gets started until you give the go-ahead.
- 03
Film, clear, film
The camera finds the cause, then the jetter, eel or rods shift it, and a second pass shows the pipe open before we leave.
- 04
Covered for a year
Every job carries our 365-day warranty on all work. If something we did isn't right, ring the same number.
What Sets the Price of a Drain Clear?
We provide up-front, honest quotes that will always match the final price, should you decide to go ahead.
The approved figure is what lands on the invoice.

Four things shape it:
- Where the access point is An opening under a fibro floor means more crawling and set-up than a grate beside the driveway.
- What the camera finds Loose sand flushes out, fat needs scouring, and a broken length becomes a repair.
- The pipe Old earthenware and clay joints need gentler pressure than PVC.
- The time you book A midnight clear costs more than a weekday one, and both rates are named when you ring.

When We're Not the Right Call
Your drains run from the house to the connection point on your land, and everything on that side is ours. A choke or break in the street sewer beyond your boundary is Hunter Water's asset, so the footage goes to them and you are not billed for their pipe.
What Locals Ask About Blocked Drains
How can I tell a blocked sewer from a blocked stormwater drain?
Watch where the water shows. A sewer fault shows inside, with gurgling traps, a high toilet bowl or waste rising in a floor drain. A stormwater fault shows outside in wet weather, as an overflowing pit or a soggy lawn.
Can sand really block a drain here?
Yes. Dune sand near the beach washes through grates in heavy rain and settles wherever the pipe flattens out. A few storms can build a bank thick enough to stop the flow, and a jetter lifts it out instead of packing it tighter.
Do you check the drain with a camera after clearing it?
Every time. The first look finds the blockage, and the second confirms the pipe is open from end to end. If the footage shows roots still at a joint or a broken length, that repair is priced for you before anyone starts it.
What if the roots keep growing back into the line?
Cutting clears them, but a root will return to the same cracked joint. Sealing that joint with a resin liner takes the gap away, and the footage shows whether your pipe is sound enough to take one.
